Thank you very much for your interest in volunteering abroad and making a difference in Project Concern's lifesaving work for children and families around the world. Periodically, our field offices will indicate a need for volunteers or interns. At these times, we are able to offer limited opportunities to qualified individuals in the Tijuana border region, India, Indonesia, Latin America and Africa. (More information about the work Project Concern is carrying out in each country can be found in the Worldwide Programs section of our website.)
Scope of work: Volunteers would work in collaboration with PCI staff and in-country partner organizations. Volunteer and intern duties typically include research development and writing, public health education, and community-level interventions. Specific duties vary by country and opportunity.
Costs: Our program requires that the volunteer/intern fully cover all costs associated with his/her volunteer assignment (travel, living expenses, etc). PCI will work with volunteers to help orient them to the scope of work for their volunteer placement, as well as opportunities for lodging.
Credit: Volunteer opportunities may be used by students in related fields for internship experience and credits (if approved by the college/university).
Language Skills: In Latin America and Indonesia, fluency in the local language is required.
How to Apply: If after reviewing the descriptions of available opportunities, you feel you would be a good match for Project Concern International, please send the following to dwright@projectconcern.org:
