The Izumi Foundation recently renewed its commitment to Project Concern International (PCI) and to mothers and their children in rural Guatemala by awarding the organization a two-year (2009-2011) follow-on grant to expand Project BIRTH (Better Infant and Reproductive Total Health in Guatemala).

To acknowledge World Water Day and raise awareness of the current global water crisis, PCI led the first San Diego Walk for Water along with its partner and presenting sponsor Nika Water. Nika, an eco-friendly premium bottled water brand, is taking a unique approach to selling its products by donating 100% of its profits to alleviate global poverty. Nika will initially focus on projects that bring clean water and safe sanitation to underprivileged areas around the world. Project Concern International is proud to join forces with Nika Water on a project so vital to millions of people.
Rancho La Puerta Rancho La Puerta
Deborah Szekeley and Rancho La Puerta have been generously supporting the Live Auction of PCI's Hands Across Borders event for several years now. About a decade ago, the Rancho La Puerta Foundation also supported a PCI health program in Tecate, Mexico.
Saks Fifth Avenue Saks Fifth Avenue
Kim Biehl and Saks Fifth Avenue have been a PCI partner for three years now, underwriting decorations for the annual Hands Across Border event. In addition, Saks has been closing their San Diego store once a year to host a fun-filled event entirely underwritten by the company.
Sempra Sempra Energy Foundation
Lidia When the tsunami hit in 2001, SEMPRA turned to PCI to offer their employees a locally trusted organization to donate their money to in order to support rebuilding and reconstruction efforts in India and Indonesia. Employees raised a total of $8,000, which SEMPRA matched for a total of $16,000. Since then, Sempra Energy awarded PCI a matching grant to launch a mobile health clinic in Tijuana designed to provide urgently needed health services to families living in poverty stricken and isolated neighborhoods.

Lidia Martinez and Southwest Airlines have been generous in-kind sponsors of the organization for many years. PCI is fortunate to count Southwest Airlines among its most loyal friends and supporters.
Viejas Casino Viejas Casino
For the last three years, Viejas Enterprises and DeDee Castro have been underwriting the audio-visual production for PCI’s annual Hands Across the Borders gala, thereby saving the organization thousands of dollars that instead could be invested in PCI’s programs benefitting children and families in need around the world.
